Prospective visitors to Augusta Margaret River are being urged to ensure they have appropriate accommodation secured prior to arriving for their ANZAC long weekend stay.Tourism providers in the region are fully booked and with no free camping available there are no options available for unplanned visitation.Shire of Augusta Margaret River CEO Stephanie Addison-Brown said the region always experiences a visitor influx for long weekends but the announcement of a 3-day lockdown in Perth may cause for people to make spontaneous decisions to travel to the South-West.“There is no free camping in the Shire and, with accommodation outlets in the region fully booked there is nowhere for last minute bookings,” she said.“We are asking people only come to the region if they have already planned to do so and already have appropriate places to stay.
