Albany’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebration returns to Anzac Peace Park on Tuesday, December 31 with a dynamic line-up of live music, delicious food, and spectacular fireworks.
This year’s event will feature headline act Joan & the Giants, an indie-pop sensation from Perth, known for their soulful alternative rock sound and energetic live performances.
The band has had a standout year, supporting P!NK and Tones & I, and receiving multiple West Australian Music (WAM) Song of the Year Awards.
Joining Joan & the Giants are Brandon Poletti and the Eagleton Brothers, bringing a blend of country and folk, Perth duo Trouvaille, DJ Levi Ryan, and local acts Ivory Dusk and Kris Nelson.
The evening begins at 5pm for families and friends to relax with a picnic or enjoy the cuisine from a variety of food vans.
Two fireworks shows will light up the night with a family-friendly display at 9pm and a grand finale at midnight to welcome in 2025.
Mayor Greg Stocks said it’s always wonderful to see families of all ages come together to celebrate the start of a new year.
“This event is a fantastic way for residents and visitors to come together to celebrate the year that’s been and look forward to the year ahead,” he said.
“This year’s music line-up, featuring Joan & the Giants and Brandon Poletti, brings incredible talent to Albany, and we’re thrilled to offer something for everyone to enjoy.
“With live music, fantastic food, and a double round of fireworks, it promises to be an unforgettable night.”
