On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, the Coolgardie Recreation Centre was buzzing with creativity as YMCA Youth Officers Heather and Violet facilitated a fun DIY T-Shirt making session for the local youth. The workshop was part of the YMCA School Holiday Program, which has been a fantastic addition to the community, bringing exciting activities to the young people of Coolgardie.
Heather and Violet, both qualified and experienced professionals, guided the group through the process of creating their own unique T-shirts, allowing the kids to express their creativity and have a lot of fun along the way. The program has been an integral part of Coolgardie’s school holidays, offering engaging and educational activities for local youth.
The Shire of Coolgardie and the Recreation Centre Team are deeply grateful for the YMCA's commitment to our town, and especially for prioritising their visit over the last two weeks. Their time and effort have made a real impact, and the youth participants have greatly benefited from their engaging sessions.
We look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership and hope to see the YMCA School Holiday Program return every school holiday. Heather and Violet have truly built a strong rapport with the kids, and we’re excited for more memorable moments in the future!
