Cambridge Street Festival returned on Saturday, 15 March 2025, drawing close to 12,000 people throughout the afternoon and evening.
Held as part of the Town of Cambridge’s 30th anniversary celebrations, the event surpassed the 2019 attendance and reaffirmed its place as a key community highlight.
Visitors from across Perth enjoyed a wide range of entertainment, including live music, market stalls, carnival rides, mini golf, roaming performers, a silent disco, and other family-friendly activities.
Mayor Gary Mack said the street festival was a well-organised and vibrant celebration that truly brought our community together.
"It was fantastic to see so many people – both residents and visitors – enjoying the entertainment, activities, and local businesses on offer. The festival’s lively atmosphere highlighted the strong community spirit in the Town, and it was wonderful to see people of all ages engaging with each other in such a positive way," he said.
"Street festivals, and the range of community events organised by the Town, play an important role in strengthening community connections, support local businesses, and enhance the vibrancy of our public spaces. Organising and facilitating community events that connect people is an important role of local government and the Town is committed to providing our community with an events program which provides ample opportunities to connect.
"The Town organised the Cambridge Street Festival as part of our year long celebrations to mark the 30th anniversary of the Town. Given the overwhelmingly positive response, we are confident that many attendees will have better awareness of Town run events and we look forward to welcoming them back,” Mayor Mack concluded.
The Town is now inviting community feedback through its Community Events Survey, open until 5pm on Sunday, 13 April 2025. Participants will go into the draw to win a $250 gift voucher to spend at a local business of their choice within the Town of Cambridge.
