The Shire of Chapman Valley has received an application seeking to site a second-hand dwelling upon 241 (Lot 96) Eliza Shaw Drive, White Peak and undertake external and internal works to the building to create a residence.

The second-hand dwelling is single storey and 4.25m x 14.7m (62.475m²) and the applicant proposes to clad the exterior of the building and construct a timber deck 73.5m² verandah at the front of the building and a timber deck 58.8m² patio at the rear.

The subsequent 194.8m² floor area of the residence would meet with the 200m² ancillary dwelling (more commonly known as a ‘granny flat’) requirements for the ‘Rural Residential’ zone, thereby providing flexibility to later build a main residence in front of the ‘granny flat’.

The applicant is also seeking to site a sea container at a distance of 10.55m from the side of the second-hand dwelling and paint it to match the residence and construct a freestanding 6m x 8m (48m²) carport between the second-hand dwelling and the sea container.
