Boddington came alive with a vibrant crowd of over 900 residents and visitors gathering for the much anticipated annual South32 Summer by the River celebration on Saturday, 22 March 2025. The celebration was generously funded by South32 Worsley Alumina and Lotterywest, and attracted a diverse crowd eager to enjoy an evening of activities and entertainment.

Attendees appetites were satisfied with mouth-watering food from food trucks offering woodfired pizza, paella, curries, spuds, nachos, burgers, loaded fries, and more.

Musical entertainment was in full swing with performances from four outstanding acts: Fox India, Hello Stranger, Dune Cartel, and Claudia Tripp. Their performances added an energetic vibe to the event, keeping the crowd engaged throughout the afternoon and evening.

Children of all ages were delighted with the activities, including inflatables, bungee trampolines, a petting zoo, music walls, face painting, bubbleology, arts and crafts, story time, and a chill-out zone. These attractions ensured that younger attendees had as much fun as their parents.

The evening was crowned by a spectacular fireworks display leaving the audience in awe and providing a perfect conclusion to the festivities.

The event was well-received by locals and visitors, with many families opting to extend their stay at the Boddington Caravan Park for the weekend.
