Easter Fun and Learning with Bev Pack from Anglicare

On Monday, April 7th, the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility was filled with excitement and creativity as Bev Pack from Anglicare visited for another day of activities. The theme for the day was Easter, and Bev had a wonderful lineup of engaging activities designed to both entertain and educate the children.

Throughout the day, stations were set up to encourage curiosity, support language development, and help the children practice concentration. One of the highlights was a biscuit-decorating station, where children had the chance to cover biscuits with icing and a variety of colourful toppings. It was a way to express creativity while practicing fine motor skills.

Another station invited the children to explore texture with a container of coloured rice, offering a sensory experience that encouraged them to feel and interact with the world around them. At the colouring station, the children eagerly painted their own Easter bunny rabbits.

The day also included an exciting gardening activity, where there were trays of dirt to plant their very own carrots. It was a hands-on lesson in nature and growth that sparked curiosity about the environment.

Bev also led an Easter-themed Storytime, captivating the children with an engaging book that had them listening attentively with wide eyes. After the story, the fun continued with an Easter egg treasure hunt, where the children excitedly searched for hidden eggs, adding an element of adventure to the day.
