Summer is in the air so we’re dusting off the City’s three pontoons for anchoring off Coogee Beach this November.We’re spending $12,000 to refurbish the pontoons and want to get your thoughts on their location for the summer months.We plan to locate a refurbished pontoon with a new deck and swim-up access platform near Coogee beach Surf Life Saving Club.Another two with slides would be anchored inside the Eco Shark Barrier and next to Coogee Beach jetty.The pontoons are currently housed in a boatyard at Woodman Point are we can’t wait to tow them into place.Swimming pontoons have been a City-provided feature at Coogee Beach since about 2004.
